Stewart es profesor asistente del departamento de Common Law (2021-2023) y becario del Centro de Estudios Avanzados sobre los Fundamentos del Derecho y las Finanzas de la\u00a0<i>Goethe University Frankfurt<\/i>. Es doctor del programa de Ciencias Jur\u00eddicas de la University of Ottawa (medalla de plata) y tiene maestr\u00eda y doctorado en Derecho de la Yale Law School. Antes de vincularse al mundo acad\u00e9mico, ejerci\u00f3 como abogado litigante en el \u00e1rea comercial en Toronto y trabaj\u00f3 como investigador en una cl\u00ednica jur\u00eddica comunitaria.<\/p>\n<p>El profesor Stewart es catedr\u00e1tico del departamento de\u00a0<i>English Common Law\u00a0<\/i>desde 2019 y fue instructor de tiempo completo en\u00a0<i>Schulich School of Law<\/i>\u00a0durante el a\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico 2020-2021, donde recibi\u00f3 el premio\u00a0<i>Hannah and Harold Barnett Excellence in Teaching First Year Law Award<\/i>. Ha impartido cursos sobre delitos, delitos t\u00f3xicos, propiedad, proceso civil y litigios sobre el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>El profesor Stewart es un estudioso progresista del derecho privado y del acceso a la justicia. Sus investigaciones han sido publicadas en las principales revistas jur\u00eddicas internacionales y en libros, con el apoyo de una beca Fulbright, una beca de posgrado\u00a0<i>Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada<\/i>\u00a0(ofrecida, pero rechazada) y la McMillan International Dissertation Fellowship.
