Claudia Jaimes is a teacher and interpreter of Venezuelan Sign Language. She has a diploma in the Sathya Sai Program of Human Values from the International Sathya Sai Institute and a diploma in Venezuelan Sign Language from the National School of Human Rights of the Juan Vives Suriá Foundation. She has a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the Pedagogy Institute of Caracas at the Libertador Experimental Pedagogical University (UPEL), where she now teaches. She is a doctoral candidate in the Area of Management for Intellectual Creation at the National Experimental University Simón Rodríguez. She is a National Tutor of the Venezuelan Sign Language Interpreting Learning Communities (UNSER). She is President and Co-Founder of the Venezuelan Sign Language Interpreters and Guide Interpreters for the Deafblind Association (ASOIVE). She is also a teacher at both the National School of the Magistracy and the National School of Human Rights of the Juan Vives Suriá Foundation in association with the Ombudsman’s Office.
